The Monaco Asia Society, established with HSH Prince Albert II as its Honorary Chairman to develop links between the Principality of Monaco and Asia, federated and grouped the actions and donations of various organizations, companies and individuals to provide aid to the victims of the tsunami that hit Asia in early 2005. The aid program could be extended to Sri Lanka

"Operation Monaco Solidarité Asie", launched by the Monaco-Asia Society in cooperation with local NGO United in Diversity decided to aid the population of Nias ((West coast of Sumatra, in Indonesia), an isolated Island that was particularly devastated. The project aims at rebuilding the village of Sirombu (houses, school, clinic), the fishing fleet, and put children back to school.
Aid is being extended to the rebuilding of an orphanage. Everything is managed so as to minimize environmental impact and respect local customs. Precise objectives and time schedules have been set, and operations on the ground are closely monitored.

This website is made available to the donors and partners of Operation Monaco Solidarité Asie, as well as to the public at large, to enable them to follow the development of the projects in a continuous and transparent manner.

Basically 100% of donations are directly invested in our projects. Administrative costs are under 1%. Accounting records are open to donors upon request so as to ensure the highest transparence.
